Tango DJs

JOSEBA PAGOLA

Joseba Pagola, a resident of Andoain, Basque Country, stands out as an expert connoisseur of the rhythmic variations of orchestras, styles, and the evolution of tango.

He combines his extensive experience as a tango dancer and teacher with his deep knowledge of the history of this musical genre to masterfully select the most appropriate music for each moment of the milonga.

Always attentive to the needs of the dancers, the choice of his tandas is intrinsically linked to the atmosphere of the milonga and the energy flowing on the dance floor.

YATMA DIALLO

Born in Senegal, he has lived in Italy for over twenty years. His first dance experiences in Dakar focused on salsa and hip hop, disciplines he continued to cultivate for many years in Europe as well.

In tango, after his first experiences studying in Europe with Mónica María Fumagalli, Susana Miller, Ana Schapira, Jorge Firpo and many others, he spent time in Buenos Aires to further his studies, obtaining, in a few years, interesting professional awards.

In 2019, he distinguished himself at the Milan Metropolitan Championship (Lombarda World Cup selection) as the only dancer to compete and reach the podium in all dance categories: tango, waltz, and milonga. In 2021, he finished second in the Italian Metropolitan Championship, International Milonga category. He was a tango semifinalist at the 2021 Buenos Aires World Cup.

In 2013, he earned his CONI diploma as a couple dance teacher. He has worked extensively in teaching at the "La Grande Nave" permanent school in Milan, workshops in various cities in Italy, Europe, the US, and Africa, trips in collaboration with Horca Myseria, with whom he created the "Vela y Tango" project, and events and vacations dedicated to sailing and dancing tango in ports.

Since 2014 he has been the president of the Tango Disciples Association "Mundo Milonguero".

As a DJ titled "El Africano Bien Milonguero" and with a solid professional training as a sound engineer, he worked for international events in Italy and throughout Europe.

JOSE DAVID REUS

REUS began his artistic journey as a DJ at the age of 18, during the golden age of vinyl and club culture. From the very start, he built a strong technical foundation and developed a natural talent for reading the dance floor and connecting with the crowd, exploring a wide range of musical styles that shaped his sound identity.

In 1989, he opened his own venue, the Disco-Pub Latino, a pivotal project where he refined his style and mastered the art of creating intense and dynamic atmospheres. During this period, he also expanded his presence in the music scene by hosting a weekly radio show focused on the latest disco trends.

Driven by artistic curiosity, he trained in theatre and film acting, taking part in stage performances and audiovisual productions. At the same time, he worked professionally as a sales specialist in sound systems, gaining deep technical knowledge and developing a strong appreciation for high-quality audio as a key element of the musical experience.

Although his DJ career was already flourishing, tango had always been part of his life thanks to the influence of his maternal grandfather, originally from San Juan (Argentina). This personal connection inspired him in 2005 to begin an intense process of researching, collecting, and remastering tangos, valses, and milongas. The result is a carefully curated collection recognized for its exceptional sound quality.

In 2008, he founded the milonga “La Pasional” in Benidorm, where he continues as the resident DJ. Still active today, it has become a true reference point, known for its authentic atmosphere and a musical selection that is both traditional and vibrant.

With more than 18 years of experience as a Tango DJ, José David Reus has played at major tango events in Spain and across Europe, including France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Hungary, and Norway. To date, he has DJed more than 1,000 milonga sets, including over 100 at international festivals, marathons, and tango encuentros.

Beyond DJing, he is also a dancer, teacher, and organizer, giving him a complete perspective of tango and an exceptional ability to understand what the floor needs. His musical style is known for an intelligent energy build-up, deep respect for tradition, and a unique sensitivity for maintaining the emotional atmosphere of the milonga—creating tandas that invite not only dancing, but true feeling.

His signature lies in the way he shapes the energy of the room and builds a musical narrative where elegance, power, and emotion take center stage. Because his musicalization doesn’t simply accompany the dance floor — it leads it, inspires it, and sets it on fire, turning every milonga into an unforgettable musical journey.

David combines orchestras from the 1930s to the 1950s, applying what he learned in the past to tango, paying attention to the dance floor, good energy, quality sound, and a lot of love in each session.

ENRIQUE BERRAQUERO

He began his career as a DJ at his own milonga in Marbella (Málaga) in 2010, and in 2011 he also participated as a DJ in international festivals and tango marathons.

He understands milongas as a party where tango fans come primarily to enjoy the connection with the couples that both the tango players themselves and a great musical selection create. But they're also a place where we go to have fun and enjoy ourselves with old and new friends.

High energy from the first tango until we took off our shoes, curtains to enjoy, and a mix of rhythmic and melodic tandas to inspire the tango to flow in every fan.
